So obvious, but maybe not.
I've got some really good festival recordings from the last of 5 festivals that I got to this past [North American] summer. As I'm listening, and listening again, it dawns on me that I found some really good festival friends this season. I think there's something about our growing familiarity that contributes to the quality of the jam. We sort of found each other, probably by some attraction to a commonality of tune selection and pure dumb luck. And, introductions from friends in common. And the fact that we're such fun and interesting folks. :-) But, by the last festival we all had a better clue about what folks would like, and the resulting playlist is so nice to my ears. I've still got a few more tunes to put into Garage Band for cleaning up the chat in the beginning and end. All in all, I'm happy with the Edirol R09 that I used this time around. Good bye Sony Minidiscs, it's been good to know you. Soon as I have my info and permissions in order, I'll try to post some.

AHAHAAA, what does your "Reap What You Sow" sound like? I think I'm confusing it with another tune, "I'll Reap What I Sow", which I heard at a little house gathering a few weeks back. The version I'm trying to find was from Rhys Jones.
What a fun blog. I will have to visit often. I also recently picked up the fiddle in these later days. FIddling and life are so compatible. There is a tune for everything. So it's perfect blog fodder, don't you agree?
