Make us play nice

I"m on a Warren Zevon kick lately. Don't know if that's fiddle-relevant or not. But, here's some lyrics that just seem to fit into a jamming philosophy, seems to me. The tune is 'Don't Let Us Get Sick' from the album 'Life'll Kill Ya'. Let's all play nice, eh?

Don't let us get sick
Don't let us get old
Don't let us get stupid, all right?
Just make us be brave
And make us play nice
And let us be together tonight

The sky was on fire
When I walked to the mill
To take up the slack in the line
I thought of my friends
And the troubles they've had
To keep me from thinking of mine

Don't let us get sick
Don't let us get old
Don't let us get stupid, all right?
Just make us be brave
And make us play nice
And let us be together tonight

The moon has a face
And it smiles on the lake
And causes the ripples in Time
I'm lucky to be here
With someone I like
Who maketh my spirit to shine

Don't let us get sick
Don't let us get old
Don't let us get stupid, all right?
Just make us be brave
And make us play nice
And let us be together tonight

OK some blogger sort of hints at finding lyrics. A carefully worded search makes it easy. I Googled "don't let us get sick" zevon lyrics... just like that with quotes on the tune title, so as not to search for every don't or let or us on the internet. Then, just one name and the word lyrics to zero in on lyrics, not albums, not bio's, not tee shrits or tickets. First up returned www.oldielyrics.com/lyrics/warren_zevon/dont_let_us_get_sick.html Viola! Well, yeah, sure they want to sell me ringtones, but then I'd be getting all verklempt when everr my phone rang, eh? Don't let us get stupid, all right?
