More on right / left brain fiddling
Another vid about turning off the left side of the brain, and turning on the power of the right brain. Not that I would personally want anybody to be jolting my remaining brain cells with magnets, but it does dramatically show how the 2 sides of the brain interact. I think people who play by ear are conceptualizing the tune as a whole are using more of the right brain functions. Our tunes are Rainman's box of toothpicks, if you will.
